Getting started
Find help
How to find the help for the screen you're on, search the help library, and ask a question in your own words.
Every part of Core1440 has help written for people new to it, including good bookkeeping practice.
Ways to get help
- On any screen, press Help at the top. It shows the articles for that screen.
- Search the help library: open Help, type what you want to do in your own words (for example "enter a donation"), and press Search.
- Ask a question in your own words: open Help, type it under Ask in your own words, and press Ask. The answer is written from the help articles, with links to them. You need to be signed in to ask.
- Ask your own AI assistant. Claude, ChatGPT and others can read the Core1440 help through its MCP connection and answer step by step. See Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your organization.
Good to know
- Answers to questions only ever use the help articles. Nothing from your church's books, donors or members is sent.
- If the help doesn't cover your question, it says so, and your question is noted so the help can be added to.
- You can ask up to 20 questions an hour.
- The help can be read without signing in, so you can look something up before you start, or when you can't sign in. See Sign in to Core1440.
- Bookkeeping guides explain the why, for example Fund accounting in plain words and Official tax receipts: the basics.
